Hi there I'm Melissa,
I am passionate about helping others navigate recovery as they embark on their healing journey. I am interested in the integration of body, mind, and spirit, blending science and spirituality, Eastern and Western knowledge. I approach my work with an overarching decolonial lens, as I recognize that the systems in place have caused us harm and disconnection from the natural world, our relationships/community, our spirit, and our bodies. Addiction only exacerbates this.
As someone who identifies as a person in long-term addiction recovery, I have spent years studying, practicing and embodying different modalities, and approaches to recovery. Having to undergo my own challenges and spiritual searching I have found yoga to be one of the most impactful, well-rounded and consistent practices I can turn to to help me get back to alignment.
From my years of studies, personal and professional experience, and continued training to refine and specialize my skillset, I offer a unique holistic framework to help others find their path and empowerment toward reconnection and liberation. The work we do as individuals has a ripple effect on the collective and our lineages. This work is deeply rooted in my purpose (Dharma), as I incorporate these different teachings into my offerings.
Sure, all of this education and training are great and necessary for the work I do. But my greatest teachings have come from the people I serve, elders, shamans, and wisdom keepers, my relationships—including my relationship with myself—my intuitive nudges, my spiritual guidance, and the great mother—Mother Earth.

“we can only take people as far as we have gone ourselves.”
I love

Hiking, travelling, adventure (I have my advanced Scuba diving certificate).
